Leesa and I want to thank you and your wife Kelly for a very special fishing vacation.
Where, do I start. First, your skills as a flyfishing and casting instructor are without equal. I have been flyfishing for almost fifty years and have had easily over three hundred guided fishing days on rivers and lakes in the US, News Zealand, Chile, Mexico, the Caribbean, and with our most recent trip, Slovenia and Croatia. Not to increase the size of your head, I am pleased to say that in my experience you are probably the best flyfishing guide I have come across. You combine the discipline in your instruction of casting and flyfishing techniques of a Marine drill instructor while balancing this with the application of common sense and compassion when you observe my eyes getting glassy and my casting arm turning to silly putty. Your attention to detail and focus on the issue at hand is remarkable. Your instruction improved the skills of both Leesa and myself and that will improve our flyfishing for years to come (until we develop new bad habits again). Your knowledge of the fishing waters in Slovenia and Croatia is extensive and proved successful. The scenery in Slovenia is what I imagine the scenery would be in Switzerland and there are numerous natural and historical sites to visit. We appreciate the extraordinary efforts you and your wife expended to provide quality lodging and dining (where possible) in a part of the world we previously had known very little about. We hope to make this trip with you again in two years.
